Philly steak rolls

(2-3 portions)

  • 1 350g pack of fondue beef
  • 1 green pepper
  • Onion sliced in strips
  • 6 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • Beef broth
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Cook the beef in a pan with some olive oil;
  2. Halfway through the cooking add a tablespoon of beef broth with a cup of water;
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste;
  4. Add the peppers and the onions and cover the pan for 5 minutes at medium-low heat;
  5. Spread a drizzle of the cooking juice on both sides of your rolls;
  6. Add the meat and the mix on one side and top it with the cheese.

Chef's advice!

Add hand chopped coriander on top of the veggie pate

Vegetarian rolls

  • Veggie pate (sold in groceries)
  • ½ cup of black olives
  • slices of tomato
  • 4 slices of emmenthal cheese
  • 2 leafs of roman lettuce
  • Dijonnaise (Dijon mustard with mayonnaise)
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Spread dijonnaise on both sides of your rolls;
  2. Add the lettuce;
  3. Place the veggie pate on the lettuce and spread it;
  4. Add the tomato slices and season with salt and pepper, to taste;
  5. Add the slices of cheese on top of the tomatoes.

Chef's advice!

Add dry oregano and basil on the tomato slices with some salt and pepper

Greek rolls

  • ½ cup of crumbled feta cheese
  • ¼ cup of sliced Kalamata olives
  • 2 slices of tomatoes
  • 2 slices of red onion
  • 1 leaf of roman lettuce
  • Olive oil
  1. Spread a sip of olive oil on both sides of your rolls;
  2. Put the leaf of roman lettuce on one side;
  3. Place the black olives on the lettuce;
  4. Put in the feta cheese;
  5. Add the tomato slices.

Chef's advice!

Spread the cream cheese on both sides of your rolls

Pacific sesame rolls

  • 4 slices of smoked salmon, to taste (Coho is preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon of capers
  • 1 red onion
  • Cream cheese
  • Sea salt and pepper
  1. Spread the desired quantity of cream cheese;
  2. Add the capers on the cheese;
  3. Add the smoked salmon and the onion strips;
  4. Add sea salt and pepper to taste, for your perfect rolls sandwich.

Chef's advice!

Add some salt and pepper on top of the tomatoes

Classic sesame rolls

  • 2 slices of ham to taste (Black Forest ham)
  • 2 slices of white cheese (emmenthal or mozzarella)
  • 2 leafs of lettuce
  • 2 slices of tomato
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard, to taste
  1. Spread mustard on one side and mayonnaise on the other;
  2. Lay a slice of cheese and a leaf of lettuce on one side;
  3. Add the ham and tomatoes on your rolls.

Chef's advice!

Add some powdered chili to taste (and to tolerance!)

Texas Hold’em rolls

(2 or 3 portions)

  • Keep it simple, by a ready-to-go pulled pork mix from your local grocery store
  • Red and green peppers
  • White or red onion
  • Sat and pepper
  • Olive oil
  1. Follow the instructions and prepare your pulled pork mix and let it cool down before using it;
  2. Clean, empty and slice in strips the peppers and blanch them to taste;
  3. Cut in strips the onion and blanch it a pan with olive oil;
  4. When onions are caramelized, add the peppers, salt and pepper and let it cooldown;
  5. Lay down a slice of cheese on your rolls, spread the pulled pork mix and top it with the vegetables

Chef's advice!

Add some lemon zest for a fresher taste

The rooster rolls

(2-3 portions)

  • Well cooked chicken breast
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 celery branch
  • ¼ cup of Sultana Raisins (cover in cold water for 10 minutes)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Basil leaf
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Pan fry the chicken with a little bit of olive oil and let it cool down for 30 minutes;
  2. When cold, dice the chicken and put the cubes in a bowl;
  3. Dice the apple;
  4. Slice the celery in ¼ inch bits (keeping the leaves is up to you);
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste;
  6. Add 3 to 4 leaves of basil (cutting is to taste);
  7. Drain the raisins and add them to the mix;
  8. Add two tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix well;
  9. Spread the mix on your rolls.

Chef's advice!

Add fine herbs of Provence to the mix.

Good morning rolls

  • 1 hardboiled egg
  • 2 well-cooked asparaguses (cut ¼ inch from the bottom part)
  • Mayonnaise, salt and pepper
  • Sliced white cheese of your choice (emmental or cheddar)
  1. Crumble the hardboiled egg in a bowl with a fork;
  2. Cut the asparaguses in small bits and put them in the bowl;
  3. Add a tablespoon of mayonnaise and salt and pepper to taste;
  4. Mix it well;
  5. Put the slice of cheese on your rolls and spread the mix.

Chef's advice!

Add a pinch of dried oregano and basil with the salt and pepper to enhance the taste

Athena rolls

(2-3 portions)

  • 1 diced tomato
  • 1 tablespoon of capers
  • 1 tablespoon of sliced black olives
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 2-3 leafs of roman lettuce
  • Salt and pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar
  1. Drain the tuna and put it in a bowl;
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste;
  3. Incorporate 1 ½ tablespoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, mix well;
  4. Put the leaf of lettuce on your rolls and spread your tuna mix in;
  5. Add on top the sliced black olives, the capers and the diced tomatoes.

Chef's advice!

Add some salt and pepper.

Tuna rolls

(2-3 portions)

  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 1 tomato
  • Coriander
  • Curry
  • Mayonnaise
  1. Drain the tuna and put it in a bowl;Cut the tomato and cucumber in small strips and add it to the bowl;
  2. Add salt and pepper and coriander to taste;
  3. Add two tablespoons of mayonnaise and a teaspoon of curry;
  4. Mix it well;
  5. Spread the mix on your rolls.

Chef's advice!

Use smooth peanut butter without chunks of peanuts, sprinkle some brown sugar or a tad of maple syrup.

Elvis rolls

  • Peanut butter
  • Banana
  • Bacon
  1. Slice a banana;
  2. Use pre-cooked bacon and follow directions for heating;
  3. Spread your desired quantity of peanut butter on the rolls;
  4. Add the bacon and the banana slices.

Chef's advice!

Sprinkle some chilli pepper flakes to add some kick to the taste.

Mexican rolls

(2-3 portions)

  • Sliced white cheese of your choice (aged cheddar)
  • Onions, beans and red peppers
  • Italian tomatoes
  • Coriander (cilantro), salt and pepper, to taste
  1. Dice one onion, one tomato and one red pepper,
  2. Blanch the vegetables and let it cool;
  3. Cut the coriander to taste;
  4. Drain one can of red beans;
  5. Put all the ingredients in a bowl;
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste;
  7. Incorporate 2 to 3 (to taste) tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar and mix all the ingredients;
  8. Lay a slice of cheese on the rolls and add your mix.

 

Chef's advice!

Throw in a little bit of paprika to add more flavour!

The healthy egg-wich

  • 1 hardboiled egg without its shell
  • 1/3 of a small onion (or a shallot)
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • A couple of slices of tomato
  • Some slices of a ripe avocado (optional)
  • 1 leaf of roman lettuce
  1. Crumble the hardboiled egg in a bowl;
  2. Cut the onion in little cubes and add it to the bowl;
  3. Add mayonnaise (1 tablespoon to the most or it will be liquid) and salt and pepper to your taste.
  4. Cut some slices of tomato and avocado.
  5. Open your rolls in half (it’s already cut).
  6. Put in your leaf of lettuce and spread your egg salad on it. Before you’re done, add the tomato and avocado slices.
